This week’s <Mani Monday> post is dedicated to all of those patriotic manicures we saw on athletes at the London Olympics!
All-stars from all countries donned some serious nail art this time around & I was a fan.
Here’s some of my favorites:
Allison Williamson of Great Britain’s archery team has some serious Union Jack action going on & I’m digging it.
Also from Great Britain’s archery team, Amy Oliver shows some Olympic spirit.
Tennis player Angelique Kerber of Germany was repping her homeland hardcore.
I thought swimmer Carolina Colorado Henao of Columbia’s nail were pretty fantastic.
Caroline Wozniacki, one of Denmark’s tennis players, represented her country via pinky finger.
Destinee Hooker of Team USA’s volleyball team has game. And so do her nails. And fingers.
Basketball player Emmeline Ndongue of France showed her patriotism via nail as well…10 times over.
One of Germany’s all star cyclists, Kristina Vogel had some hot nails…melting hot.
Mexican weightlifter Luz Mercedes Acosta Valdez represented her homeland & the motherland both.
America’s golden girl, Missy Franklin, worked the stars & stripes on her nails during the thirtieth Olympiad.
Lithuanian swimmer Ruta Mellutyte showed her patriotic pride & Olympic spirit.
Team USA’s dominant tennis goddess Serena Williams went with stars & stripes, as well as gold — because she was ready to win it!
Swimmer Stefania Pirozzi of Italy might have cheated using her nails as paddles…I’m not really sure.
Knowing my obsession with gold, you all know it’s no contest for Lynn Hutchinson of Britain’s gymnastics team’s manicure to be my favorite…not to mention, I just love the Union Jack.
Which Olympic athlete had your favorite manicure?
God Save the Queen,
